Things we need

We are always looking for adult mentors with experience in

Woodworking  

Practice field construction, prototypes, use of hand tools.

Machinist, metal working, welding  

Computer numerical control and manual mills and lathes.  We primarily use aluminum and impact resistant plastics.

     Electrical 

Wire layout, connectors, controller area network buses,  brushless motors/actuators,  sensors, and troubleshooting

Software 

Vision systems, localisation, sensor fusion, control systems, modular design, project management

FIRST Robotics Competition is moving to a new controller for 2027 season, with java being our 

dominant language.

Outreach And Organization

Marketing and branding, communications, fundraising, and sponsor acquisition, event planning and    

management. networking, strategic planning and goal setting, Accounting and Budget management  

Materials/Equipment needed for 2026 season:

• Aluminum, Wood, and Plastic stock material  (sheet, rectangular or round)

• Cargo trailer (around 6ft x 12ft)

• Computer equipment (laptops, desktops, monitors)

• Power tools

• Argon tank for welding, welding equipment

• Machinist tools

• 3d printing materials
